Who are we?
Origin Dyfed was
the brainchild of a
handful of local craftmakers, who had a
particular affection
for, and sense of responsibility to, their industry and
community.
In 1990,
with the help and
support of many more makers with similar ideals, Origin
Dyfed Ltd.
was
established
as a Community
Craft Cooperative led by a core group of
democratically elected maker-directors.
The
aims of the cooperative are:
- To promote the craft industry in the regions of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, which together make up the ancient Dyfed region of West Wales.
- To raise local standards of professional creativity.
- To provide a professional body to represent, support and promote local craftmakers and artists.
